Switch from Feeder on Android to Feedwright on iPhone and iPad
You are moving from Android to iPhone or iPad and want to keep reading the way you did with Feeder: no account, everything on the device. You take your subscriptions along as an OPML file, and Feedwright carries on reading them.
How do I take my subscriptions from Feeder?
- Open Feeder on your Android device.
- Tap the three dots at the top right (Open menu).
- Tap Export feeds to OPML.
- Pick a location, for example Google Drive, or email the file to yourself.
How do I get the file onto iPhone or iPad?
Most easily through a cloud storage you use on both devices, or as an attachment in an email to yourself. On iPhone or iPad, save it to the Files app.
How do I open the file in Feedwright?
Tap + and, at the very bottom, Import Subscriptions (OPML)…. Pick the file. Feedwright shows how many feeds it took over and fetches the first articles right away.
What comes over from Feeder?
All your feeds, along with your Feeder tags, which become categories in Feedwright. Feedwright recognises subreddits and YouTube channels by their address.
Does Feedwright work like Feeder?
In the ways that matter to you, yes: Feedwright needs no account, your device fetches the feeds itself, and articles appear in the order they were published. Between iPhone and iPad your subscriptions sync through your own iCloud.
