Properly reset a Yamaha WX-010 MusicCast

If you move, change your network, want to move from wifi to wired, or anything else that leads you to add your MusicCast within your app you might get error-10305 in the MusicCast app. Here is how you reset it. Turn your MusicCast off using the connect button. Hold the 2 volume buttons on your WX-010 for 5 seconds till the leds flash. Then hold the connect button for 3 seconds. Überwachter Ordnerzugriff unter Windows 10 kann zu Abstürzen führen

Es kann passieren, dass korAccount unter Windows 10 vom „Überwachten Ordnerzugriff“ blockiert wird. Hintergrund ist, dass korAccount die Programmdateien im Benutzerverzeichnis ablegt (z.B. C:\Users\BENUTZERNAME\Documents\korAccount). Dieser Ordner wird unter Windows 10 speziell überwacht um vor Ransomware zu schützen. Manche Anwendungen werden hierfür automatisch blockiert. Dies kann dazu führen, dass korAccount abstürzt oder nur eingeschränkt funktioniert. Sollten Sie dieses Problem haben, fügen Sie bitte korAccount als zulässige App hinzu. Hier ist beschrieben wie Sie dies tun können. Eine dauerhafte Lösung wäre vermutlich eine richtige Signatur für korAccount, was aber viel Geld kostet. Mehr dazu finden Sie hier.

View current requests in IIS 7

In IIS 6 I used IIS Tracer to view to current requests on my webserver. Running IIS Tracer on a Windows 2008 server x64 with IIS 7 it did not work. So I searched a bit and found this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732518%28WS.10%29.aspx. It shows how you can monitor the current requests in IIS7 using build in features only. It is not feature rich as IIS Tracer, but a good alternative anyway.

Falsches Datum in Fotos ändern

Nach einer Woche Urlaub musste ich feststellen, dass das Datum in meiner Kamera nicht richtig eingestellt war. So musste das Datum von Januar 2004 auf August 2008 ändern. Das Tool Exif-Batch hat mir hierbei wunderbare Dienste geleistet. Einfach den Order mit den Bildern öffnen und Monat/Jahr einstellen und setzen. Den Unterschied der Tage kann man dann ganz einfach in Stunden um rechnen und abziehen/addieren lassen. Zu guter Letzt kann man das Bilddatum aus den Exif-Daten als Dateierstellungsdatum setzen lassen. Moving windows without the titlebar

If a window gets out of the visible area on your screen(s) it seems to be hard to get it back into your sight. But it is not that hard: just select the missing window, press ALT+Space to get the contextmenu on the missing titlebar. select Moving (or press M) as you might not know where the window is at all, moving it by the arrow keys might get thing worse. So: press an arrow key once, then move your mouse without clicking. There the window is again! Click, when you want to drop the window at the current position. Done!
