Alarms from your calendar, instead of setting them by hand
With Peal you put an appointment in your calendar, and Peal rings for it. No more setting an alarm in the Clock app by hand, moving it and deleting it again.
The alarm rings full screen on iPhone and iPad, through Silent mode and Focus, until you stop it. The alarm shows the appointment's name.

How does Peal wake me in the morning with an appointment?
Create an appointment in your calendar for the time you want to get up, such as "Get up" at 06:30, and repeat it on the days you need it. Then:
- Open Peal. Under Today and Upcoming, the appointment says when it rings.
- If it says it stays quiet, switch it on at its row and choose "Ring on every date". Then it rings even if your other rules would keep it quiet.
- Keep the time outside your quiet hours. Nothing rings during quiet hours.
Peal rings the lead time before the start, so at 06:25 with 5 minutes. Set the lead time under Rules to 0 minutes and it rings at 06:30. With Peal Plus the wake-up appointment gets a lead time of its own, and every other appointment keeps its own.
What is an alarm from the calendar good for?
- Getting up On working days, with a series in your calendar.
- Appointments away from home The doctor or the station, with a lead time for the way there.
- Meetings The ones you must not miss while a Focus is on.
- One-off appointments An early flight that should ring just once.
All-day appointments never ring. For an alarm, the appointment needs a time.
Common questions
Does the alarm from the calendar ring on silent?
Yes. An alarm from Peal comes through Silent mode and Focus, like an alarm from the Clock app.
How do I stop the alarm?
On the Lock Screen you slide it away; on an unlocked device you tap "Got it". With Peal Plus, "Later" has it ring again after a few minutes.
How loud does the alarm ring?
At the ringtone volume. Turn the ringtone up and the alarm gets louder too.
Which calendar should I use for the wake-up appointment?
Any one your device syncs. With a calendar of its own, you see the wake-up appointments apart from everything else and switch them on or off in Peal with one switch.
Does Peal have to be open for this?
No. The alarms ring with the app closed. For Peal to pick up new appointments, leave it in the app switcher. More on the help page.
