Outlook calendar alarms on iPhone and iPad

Peal turns appointments from Outlook into real alarms that ring through Silent mode and Focus. That works for a personal Outlook.com account just as for a work account on Microsoft 365. Peal needs no login with Microsoft: it reads the appointments iOS already has on the device.

How does the Outlook calendar get into Peal?

Through the iOS Calendar app. Set up your Outlook account once in iOS Settings, and Peal sees it too:

1. Open Settings, then Apps → Calendar.
2. Under Calendar Accounts, tap Add Account.
3. Choose Outlook.com for a personal account, such as an address at outlook.com, hotmail.com or live.com. Choose Microsoft Exchange for a work account on Microsoft 365.
4. Sign in and leave Calendars switched on.
5. Open Peal. Your Outlook calendars now appear under Rules, each with its own switch.

Do you use the Outlook app?

Then add the account in iOS Settings as well. Peal reads the calendars the iOS Calendar app shows, and appointments that only live in the Outlook app don't arrive there. You can keep using the Outlook app alongside.

Which Outlook appointments ring?

You decide:

• Calendars Every calendar of the account gets its own switch.
• Keywords Only appointments with a particular word, such as a project name.
• Invitations Meetings you declined or that were cancelled stay quiet.
• Quiet hours and lead time When nothing rings, and how many minutes before the start the alarm comes.

Does a Teams meeting from Outlook ring?

Yes, if it is an appointment in your Outlook calendar and passes your rules. From the appointment's details you open the invitation's link directly.
